Non-Depreciating Love

My wife and I have had several opportunities to care for babies each in a unique set of circumstances. These are cases that we cannot give too many details because of the legal situation that surrounds the innocent child.
The little one that we have been caring for these last 6 months will possibly be returning to her parents soon. It does not seem like the correct direction that the welfare agency is taking but we trust that God is in control and has been using this time to do some solid work in the hearts of her parents.
I sometimes in these situations have thought why invest so much time into a life that I know will be taken from me and placed in an environment that I would not choose, if the choice were mine. Better maybe to just let life take its course and not get involved. If I were to make an investment of my hard earned money and time I would like to have much to do with that decision process.
In the case of this little girl my wife and I have invested in her our whole heart, and much of our time. We have seen many of those so wonderful special moments such as forming words, especially mama and papa, seeing her take her first steps, getting those bursts of joy when we appear, laughter, and the heart touching hugs.
I have come to the conclusion that investing Love is indeed something that we can give to others and it will never loose value, but rather grow and grow into an excellent investment. Soon we may never see her again here on this earth but we know that we will always be somewhere there in her heart.
Many blessings to you all and have a wonderful Springtime!

Hi to our loyal friends!
Irma and I have been back at the Casa for a few weeks now after our long 7,000 mile trip driving to the USA. I am the belly in the picture. I got that thing smaller before our trip then lost some ground fellowshipping up there with some of you, but am back at getting my belt to have four holes left over after I am buckled in. Selena is the person wrapped around my belly. She has been at the Casa for about 3 years now with her sister Berenice. They are in the process to be adoptable which is sometimes a long drawn out thing. Our Casa family is ever-changing, but that is how I like it. Children need a home with a mom and dad to love and guide them up to that point of independence and beyond. We work hard trying to do our part in making them feel good inside, and about themselves while they are with us. Irma is still hoping to continue her schooling this fall and is looking into several options. We appreciate your prayers and our course whenever you are able to support our work as well we greatly appreciate that too. Blessings to you all and have a wonderful fall season!

Away from home

Greetings to our friends! Irma and I are soon making a trip to the USA where we will be visiting friends sharing about the work we do with the children of Casa de Niños. We will be driving up through Texas pretty much following I35 up to Minnesota. Pray for our trip and pray for the Casa kids and staff back in Tepic. Most of June and July we will be on the road. Some of you we will be visiting and if others that are near our route would like to have us visit please let us know at (russ.krube@gmail.com). Irma and I thank you all for supporting our work and without God using wonderful people like you we could not continue. Any additional support would be appreciated as our expenses are increased traveling. Gift certificates (Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc.) are another way to help us as we look to purchase items in the USA that we can get cheaper or used. Thank you and have a very wonderful day!

It has been a while since I posted on this blog, but I am back at it. I do love my work here at Casa de Niños and am very thankful to God that He placed me here in Tepic. God has a plan for our lives, and of course my life and I really do want to stay in that wonderful place of doing His will. I have been here a bit over 25 years. That is a good number of years. God has done may wonderful things in my life and through my life. I hope that God will have me here for many years to come yet. I will keep this blog a bit more fresh so stay tuned in please, and please do support Irma and I in our work with these wonderful children that He has sent to us.
God bless and have a wonderful day!

Just me

Blessings to you all!

This pic is from a time when Irma and I went up visiting mountain villages with some government people.
Irma and I get out and about some to get to know persons, places, but more often looking for family members of our kids at Casa de Niños. After some time with a child that comes to us we get more information as the confidence level rises. We have had many profitable trips as far as finding information or papers. Kids come to us "just as they are" and from that point we start working. We work hard to be faithful with the time that God gives us with each child. To us the first and best place for a child to be is home, or with a family member that will open their heart to them. If this cannot happen then we work with the welfare system to free up the child for adoption. These processes though can take years so we come back to our work at Casa de Niños. Using the time that we have to help them open up to God so that he can do the miracle stuff inside them. At Casa de Niños we try to give them a loving environment so that God can do His work.
Hey anyone out there interested in supporting the work that Irma and I do here in Tepic Mexico? If so look for the donation info on the side panel.
Have a wonderful day!
